My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have now made three tours to India (all self funded). Each experience has had its differences but you cannot get away from the smiles and enjoyment of the school kids. One school commented that attendance rates improved whilst we were there.

It was great this year (2011) to chat to one girl (young lady) who began Tag Rugy some years ago and is now an India International in contact Rugby.

Volunteers are essential to any sucessful tour, but without equipment their job would be impossible.

Essentials are tag belts, cones, bibs, and of course rugby balls. TRT takes equipment on each tour and leaves it behind to ensure Rugby continues to flourish prior to the next tour.

Inevitably kit wears out and requires replacing. Also new schools come on board each year and need kitting out.

My aim is to raise funds over a period of time to ensure there is a continual supply of equipment. Whilst my personal interest is India, TRT takes tours to other developing countries with the same agenda.
