Mencap wants a world where people with a learning disability gain an equal right to choice opportunity and respect. We believe that support for the families and carers of people with a learning disability is vital to achieving our vision

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Mencap support children, young people and adults with learning difficulties.  As well as providing support services such as nurseries they also challenge attitudes about learning disabilities.

I'm doing 3 different runs, the Glenarm half marathon on 14th April, the Connemara half marathon on 22nd April and at least one leg (but aiming to do more so I run equivalent to a half marathon) at the Belfast relay marathon on 7th May with colleagues from Grant Thornton. Any donation you can make is very much appreciated, we have a challenge at work to raise £5000 this year, we're at just under £4000 so far so any donation here will be helping bring us closer to our target.
