St Gemma's Hospice is a local, independent charity providing the best possible care and support for people in Leeds with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We support patients and their families, both in the Hospice and in the community, at any stage of their illness.

Story

On 28th June 2014, eight intrepid adventurers (Colin Newell, Raph Berwitz, Rick Cowgill, Edd Cowgill, Ben McDougall, Dan Smith, Stu Mathers & Alex Mills - aka " Team Rat") will be stepping aboard a fine sea worthy vessel, with one goal... Row from Ambleside to Fellfoot and back - a bum numbing 21 miles. There'll be thrills, spills & badly placed blisters on their epic journey, but it's all for an awesome cause - St. Gemma's Hospice, Leeds.

St Gemma's provides specialist medical and nursing care for people with life threatening illnesses, predominantly cancer, along with support for their families, in the In-Patient Unit, by the community care nurses, in the Day Hospice, or as an Out-Patient.
