Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm not big into making New Year Resolutions, but I did promise myself that I'd make sure that I achieved a better balance between the time spent at work and the time spent with my family.
Based on this, spending 8 solid days away from my family, plus all the training days out on the road, the hours and hours spent on a turbo trainer, running, etc. to get to the level fitness required does seem like a odd choice.
Why do this? Because it's an opportunity; an opportunity to support St Margarets Hospice and all of great work done by this wonderful charity. Doing this can and will help make a difference to other peoples lives.
If you visit the event website, www.twwb.cc, you'll see that these 550 miles aren't exactly the flattest! There's going to be around 32,465 ft of climbing done over the 8 days. There's going to be sore muscles, aching joints, high points, low points, (I'm not referring to elevation here!), but what we're going to do will be worth it.
If you decide that you'd also like to help make a difference yourself, donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
