Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is the world's leading medical humanitarian aid organisation. We work in over 70 countries - in conflict zones, natural disasters and epidemics. We are independent, neutral and impartial. We provide medical care where it's needed most.

Story

I'm riding the 100 mile charity ride with my brother David who missed out last year due to a broken collarbone. I got a place in the ballot so have no specific fundraising target, but I wanted to give people the opportunity to donate to MSF if they wanted to.

We will be riding in our Velo Club Motel team kits. To be honest, riding 100 miles is what I consider fun, but we will be trying to get a faster time than we have done in the past so will be pushing ourselves. And we have to get up REALLY early to start!

I have worked with MSF in the past and make a monthly donation to the charity. I know how much great work they do, but it always becomes apparent whenever there is an international tragedy, be it an earthquake, tsunami or ebola, as they are often the first on the ground.  In fact, in many cases, they are already working in areas, unknown to international media until a crisis hits.

Even if you don't sponsor me, please take a look at what MSF do and consider supporting them yourself.

Thanks

Colin
