Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

To mark my 50th Birthday I have decided to give myself the ultimate challenge because I haven't done a tap in the last 49 years.  Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest free standing mountain in the world, it  stands at 5,895m and is the highest point on the African continent.  I will trek for seven days along the picturesque Rongai Route through farmland, rainforest and desert before reaching the breath-taking summit of Uhuru Peak.  During the trek I will experience extremities of temperature ranging from tropical to a potential -30/40 degrees.

Those that know me know that I don't like the rain, cold, lack of sleep and lack of facilities, therefore making this my worst nightmare.  But the fact that it is for the Manchester United Foundation and the charities that they support (Unicef, The Christie & Francis House) will make it worth the effort.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
