Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For those of you that aren't already aware that in 2009, I along side 3 other friends walked 192 miles from the Lake District to Holy Island and thanks to everyone's generous support we raised over £7,500 for cancer research and hospice movements, the satisfaction I gained from this really appealed to me and one that i knew would have to be repeated. Well i am here ready to embark on a new challange for a worthy cause.

First there was the task of purchasing the equipment which alone cost £450, then it was time to prepare and most importantly to train. The training started on the 18th February and we haven't looked back since, committing two days a week to training and covering 50 miles each day, i have approximately covered a painful 835 miles so far, as well as cycling for general travel requirements.

On the 2nd of July after catching a midnight sleeper train from Crewe to Inverness, another 4 hour train journey to Thurso and a 26 mile cycle ride to John O Groats, the epic journey begins . . . . . .

Averaging at 73 miles per day, myself and my close friend will be travelling down the country stopping off at what can only be described as "fairly basic accommodation" After 12 nights and 13 days we should finally arrive at Lands end on the 14th July!

This year I would like to support the Francis House Children Hospice, for those who aren't familiar with the charity, let me start by saying what a fantastic job they do in helping children with life threatening conditions. Francis House is a local childrens chairty based in Didsbury who need our support more than ever.

I am setting my personal target of £3,000, so if you kindly decide to sponsor me for such a worthy cause then simply donate now.

Thanking you in advance and your kind continued support

Wish me luck!!!
