Colour Me Happy

Jake Tanner developed the concept of Colour Me Happas an idea to bring the creative spirit of art to children in poor parts of the world who have very little. He developed Colour Me Happas a program to help children understand that with art there is no right or wrong.  Art can be used to express yourself as you wish...and it can make you happy!!!

This summer, on August 16th, Jake (12 years old), and his father, James, are bringing Colour Me Happto Bangalore, India.  In different community locations around the city, over the course of a week, they will lead creative art sessions reaching out to hundreds of 10 to 14 year old children.  They will come armed with massive amounts of art supplies which have been collected and generously donated from thier friends, schools and other supporters in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

To facilitate the introduction of Colour Me Happin Bangalore, Jake has teamed up with Dream A Dream, a local Bangalore charity.

Dream A Dream provides children from vulnerable backgrounds with non-traditional educational opportunities designed to allow them to explore, innovate and build important life skills. These life skills are fundamental to child/youth development and to the successful transition into adulthood and becoming fully functioning and productive members of our society

All the art supplies have been generously donated and shipped from Bahrain, however we are asking for your support to fund the very important work of Dream A Dream after Jake and James have left Bangalore.  Dream A Dream does not have a UK charity, however their friend and partner, Future Sense Foundation, has committed to ensure all the money raised on this Just Giving page is channeled to Dream A Dream.

You can learn more on Dream A Dream at: www.dreamadream.org

Every penny you give will go directly to Dream A Dream.  Jake and James are funding 100% of their expenses (e.g. flights, lodging, food and contribution to Colour Me Happ) out of their own pockets.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So please dig deep and donate to this very worthy cause now.

Thank you, Jake and James Tanner
