Connie, my mother, has volunteered with Save the Children for 54 years. She was one of the founders of the local Leamington, Warwick & Kenilworth Branch and has helped at numerous fundraising events every year including spearheading an Auction when she was in her 80's raising almost £2,000 with no expenses!   Even in her 100th year she has been seen collecting for Save the Children at the local shopping center on her buggy.

Connie, also known as Nenie in the USA, is now celebrating her 100th birthday and in lieu of birthday presents she would like to raise money for the charity she has supported for over half her life.

Connie says "I really don't need anything for my birthday.  All I want is the smile on the face of a child and donations to Save the Children will do that.   I'd like to raise as much money as possible!" 

Connie died on October 2nd, 2014 but we kept her fundraiser open to continue to support Save the Children.  We are happy to announce Connie's goal of £5,000 has been reached in her 100th year.
