Climbing Goatfell in Arran with the support of as many friends and family as possible · 20 June 2015

We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Connor was first diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2004.  He suffered many set backs when he was younger due to the disease but constantly fought his way to good health.  He has had many years without symptoms but unfortunately last year his weight plummeted to 50kg and he was extremely poorly having to take time off school and missing out in activities with his friends.  His quality of live was effected dramatically but he still kept his smile and never complained.

During the summer last year he spent 3 months on a liquid only diet which he found difficult and ended up having to be tube fed.  He never once complained and was proud to be fighting the disease  answering any questions that strangers asked and wearing his tube in pride never faltering under strange looks or hurtful remarks.

He has struggled making school at times, and even after having an operation and being given a letter to excuse him from having to do his prelims he made every single exam and came out with fantastic grades 😃 unfortunately due to not taking time out to recover properly he found himself back in hospital again.

Connor wants to climb Goatfell with the support of friends and family, he wants to give back and help other people in the same or similar situation.  Please help him in either taking part or donating to a charity which means so much to him.
