A gift to Warwick changes lives. Donors support students with scholarships and bursaries, fund vital medical research and help communities across the globe from Coventry to Africa. We can't wait to hear about your project too - thank you for your support!

Story

This summer I will be heading out to Morogoro in Tanzania to teach mathematics in a local school for 6 weeks. The Warwick in Africa charity sends mathematics and english teachers from the Warwick University (now also from Royal Holloway and Ernst & Young) every year to different parts of Africa. This year their will be a team of around 60 going to South Africa, Ghana and Tanzania. As well as student teachers, like myself, there will also be experienced teachers who will spend time helping to give the permanent teachers increased training, as well as some teachers havingthe opportunity come to Warwick University to increase their understanding of teaching methods and subject content.
