On Wednesday 9th December a few of us from Consilient Consulting dressed up using the topical Christmas theme to raise money for St Luke's Hospice: Caroline McCabe (Elf), Lucy Wragg (Angel) and James Keats (Reindeer). We used fundraising buckets to collect money in the Sheffield City Centre for 2 hours in the afternoon, starting at the top of Division Street and walking down to Arundel Gate. The fundraising was very successful and everyone had a really good time. We would like to thank everybody that made a donation and were really pleased to raise the amount that we did.

 

St Luke's, Sheffield's only Hospice, opened in 1971 and serves the whole community of Sheffield. Although St Luke's cares for seriously ill people and their families, it is more about living than dying. A quarter of their in-patients are discharged after treatment and many attend day care centres for years. They give give excellent specialist care, which involves physical, psychological, social and spiritual care for patients and their relatives.
