We did it! There are also a couple of photos of us in action if you click through, fairly late on in the run which is my excuse for looking a little tired!
After the months of training it was all over in 2 hours 15 mins. Not bad for our first half marathon.
What really helped to spur us on was knowing how much we were raising for charity. I didn't want to let anyone down, including myself, Pete (having to stay at my pace), all our well wishers and of course all the dogs at Greyhound Gap. I had been so nervous the week beforehand, worried that I wouldn't be able to do it for any number of reasons.
We couldn't have asked for nicer weather. Apart from sore feet on the day and a few sore joints on Monday we are virtually back to normal (if that's possible!) and I have already started investigating marathon training schedules...
Thank you so much to everyone who's sponsored us. This means a lot to us and the staff and dogs at Greyhound Gap.
