Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have set myself the target of completing the Severn Bridge Sportive, a 100km cycling event taking place on Sunday, 2 June 2013 (http://www.castlecombecyclingfestival.co.uk/). The riders will leave Castle Combe heading east to cross the Severn Bridge, turning around in Chepstow and riding back a different route.
While you are quite likely to find me going to or returning from some sort of lunchtime exercise, this is a very different challenge to me. Family restrictions mean a very limited amount of time to exercise for long in particular distance cycling like this.
I don’t consider myself as an accomplished cyclist (which easily shows when I get overtaken during my bike races) and therefore riding 100km battling the elements (yes, even in June!) will challenge me to the limits, no doubt!
But what better motivation to keep me going than the sponsorship money I will be collecting. And this is where you come in. I have a friend who is currently undergoing treatment at the RUH in Bath for bowel cancer. She is making good progress and is very pleased with the care she has received at the RUH. The RUH currently runs a campaign Space for Cancer Care trying to raise money for a new Cancer Unit. Please find details under http://www.foreverfriendsappeal.co.uk/ruhcancercentre/.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the RUH Space for Cancer Care appeal. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I would be very grateful if you could support me and ultimately the RUH and its patients by giving as generously as you can. I have a paper based sponsorship form or even easier, go to www.justgiving.com/Cordula. So please dig deep and donate now.
Many thanks.
