This is the first run that my friend Emma and I are embarking on as part of a goal to join charity runs all around the UK and Ireland as a way to get to both raise money for lots of different charities and also to travel around and see parts of the UK we might not otherwise go to. 
For the Newcastle Santa Run '09 we WILL be dressing up like Santa to jog around Newcastle and raise money for the Sunshine Fund for sick and disabled children, and who wouldn't want to contribute to that?

We're just trying to meet the minimum at this point, as we have started our fundraising for this run quite late and are also in the middle of end-of-term craziness for our graduate degrees.  So any little bit counts, to help us get closer to our goal of 50 pounds!
