Last year we raised nearly £4000 for Shelterbox by doing an 85 mile walk from Saltash College to Camborne College. This year we are planning a different walk,on Thursday 7 April 2011, starting at 4 College sites- St Austell, Newquay, Falmouth and Camborne eventually converging on The Business Space in Truro. Each team of 4/5 will run/walk carrying a Shelterbox and collect sponsorship on route with the aim of beating last years target.
Shelterbox, very much in the news lately, is our 'local' charity which continues to do fantastic work across the world, providing emergency shelter and equipment to those in need, whether from earthquake or tsunami.
