The Gorilla Organization works to protect the endangered mountain gorilla in its native habitat. It also works to ensure that local people benefit from their unique natural heritage. The Organization, founded by the late Dian Fossey who lived with the gorillas, is involved in education, conservation and public awareness.
These gorillas are fortunate enough to have jobs in the corporate department of a major City law firm. They hold exciting meetings (although without any biscuits) and have numerous education sessions on the phased implementation of the Companies Act 2006. Their friends and family back in the jungle are not so lucky. Not only do those in the jungle not get to do interesting transactional work, providing a first class service to a broad range of private equity and corporate clients, but they are critically endangered and face extinction.
