Story

Ok, so it's not the Tour de France or the Velothon Wales but taking part in the 18k cycle for Mathew Fest isn't about distances, timings and PB's. It's about the people who cared for Mathew getting together to show what he meant to them. Celebrating his memory and raising awareness of mental illness, which can have such a devastating affect on the lives of not only those who suffer from it but also on the lives of their loved ones.

I met Mathew around 10 years ago through my husband Craig and I was struck by his warmness and ability to make you feel like you'd always known him. His loss is incredibly tragic and the lives of so many people in his life will never feel 'complete' again. The event aims to raise awareness of his story and the great support the Samaritans can offer to those suffering with depression.

Any support offered will be greatly appreciated, whether that be a donation or just liking or sharing my page to help raise awareness.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story......................
