This year I celebrated turning 40 and clearly needed to find a new challenge, my first 100 mile bike ride seemed like a good place to start so I signed up for the Trossachs Etape.  Then when the opportunity to ride most of stage 2 of last year’s Tour de France came up this was too good a chance to miss so I signed up for this too........then I looked at the dates: 2 bike rides, 210 miles and 18,000 feet of climbing and only 3 days apart.
