Story
In May 2011 I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Lymphoma.
After 8 heavy cycles of chemotherapy and 15 fractions of radiotherapy at The Christie I was given the OK to get on with living my life earlier this year.
Everyone is affected in some way by this disease and the charity could not get by without additional donations.
To say thanks and to show my support in The Christie and everything they do I have signed up to the Manchester - Blackpool ride along with a number of other very supportive friends.
The unit I was treated on is due for renovation and expansion this year and I therefore intend to ask the charity to filter the funds directly to the Haematology department. Bed spaces are currently short and the unit is somewhat outdated. The new work will be a much welcome addition to the patients, familes and staff.
All donations are very welcome and very much appreciated. Please dig deep. I know there's a recession on but I wouldn't be here today without the work of these guys.
Thankyou.
