Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Carl, Abby and I are running a half marathon to help The Brain Tumour Charity raise money for research into Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), which is both inoperable and incurable. We are doing this in memory of Alfie, son of Zoe and Danny and brother to Ryan and Tyronne. Alfie was diagnosed with DIPG and sadly passed away last year.

We need to find a cure for DIPG, families need hope and funding research will help to achieve it. This is such a deserving cause and to find a cure would bring hope to the children and their families who are diagnosed with DIPG.

If you are a parent, an aunt or uncle, you have friends with children.... just remember that there is currently NO CURE for this illness. Every family needs hope. Every child needs a chance. You can help achieve this by donating whatever you can afford. Every donation will be gratefully received.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
