Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In june 2010 I will be cycling across England and back in support of Feet First. I aim to cover the 300 plus miles in 5 days following the C2C and Reivers Routes.

Feet First is run by Steve Mannion a Blackpool based orthopaedic surgeon who makes regular trips to Malawi and other countries helping people with disabilities.

Stanley Primary School, where I am the Headteacher, is committed to supporting Feet First in many ways as our chosen charity. We have already donated a number of computers that are being used in healthcare and educational settings, a group of staff have recently taken part in the Blackpool 10k and our pupils are planning to participate in a sponsored aerobics session.

In addition to raising much needed funds for this worthy cause, we also hope to participate in joint projects with Mr Mannion, his colleagues and teachers and schools in Malawi. Our aim is to educate children in both Blackpool and Malawi about each other's culture and way of life.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
