<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>On the 24th February after a two year battle with Mesothelioma, my Dad passed away. This form of cancer has no cure and is caused by exposure to Asbestos, something my Dad picked up unknown to him whilst he was working. The disease can lie in your system for up to 40 years before becoming active.</p> <p>Watching somebody you care about slowly and painfully die from this disease is not easy and by running this marathon I hope that in my small way I help the researchers look for a cure to this devestating disease so that no other families have to go through what mine has just gone through.</p> <p>I understand that times are hard for everyone at the moment but any donations would be gratefully recieved.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
