We support people with dementia in Scotland to make sure nobody faces dementia alone
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
As mentioned in our email the European RAS team like a challenge and as we are a relatively new bunch we thought a team building event was in order. We decided to go BIG from the start and I persuaded the rest of my team to sign up to the famous Loch Ness marathon. Craig, Sam and Elona (Livingston), Ryan (Corporate) and myself (Matt) (Coventry) have all entered. None of us have ran a marathon before and I think the majority have not run more than 10K so it will be tough!
As most of the team are based in the Livingston plant it was decided that our chosen charity would be Alzheimer Scotland. As a team and with YOUR help we aim to raise a whopping £1200 which will go towards helping those needing it most.
We don’t have a big fancy flashing money raised total meter as used for Comic Relief but you can track our progress and donate on the site.
As a team we have been fitting in training all around Europe during August. Early morning run along the river in Uzhgorod - Ukraine, evening runs round the local lake in Szombathely, running in the rain in Livingston and frequent trips to Mama Rosa, Tiszaujvaros to carb load for the next day!
With less than 3 weeks to go we are all now starting to feel the pressure.. and the knees! Please spur us along and send us your encouragement in the form of a donation. The website is very easy to use and only takes a few minutes to complete with a credit or debit card.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now!
Many thanks from both the RAS team and Alzheimer Scotland.
