EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On 10th February 2011, we will be attempting one of the world's greatest treks - Kilimanjaro.  At 5895m, Kilimanjaro is the tallest free standing mountain in the world.

We are doing the trek to raise funds and awareness for Headway, the brain injury association.  Headway helps brain injury survivors come to terms with their new circumstance, re-integrate into family and community life and maximise their opportunities and choices.

It also provides practical and emotional support for families and carers, recognising that they too are coping with new and demanding responsibilities that can leave them feeling isolated and inadequate.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please give generously.

Thanks very much.  Craig and Karen.
