Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My wife, JoAnne, has had arthritis since she was 27 years old. She now works for Arthritis Care in Scotland, and this year I am trying to raise money to support the charity's valuable work. I have seen how difficult it is living in almost constant pain, and I know that Arthritis Care can help people cope with pain and the other challenges this  chronic disease presents.

So, I'm taking part in the P Company Challenge, which is a ten-mile run over difficult terrain whilst carrying 35lb in a rucksack! I also have to wear army boots and trousers.  This is part of the test that Parachute Regiment recruits have to pass in order to become Paras. I must add that I'm twice the age of most recruits. Plus a little.
