Glasgow Half Marathon 2009 · 6 September 2009

1 in 4 children are living in poverty in Scotland. That isn’t right. Not all children are born with an equal chance. We know that by working together we will beat poverty and discrimination. With your help, we will reach more children and their families earlier, before it’s too late.

Going for Edinburgh Marathon in May 2010

Thanks to everybody who sponsored me.

The Challenge

I got running thanks to a challenge to run in a relay team event (only 8 miles) in the Edinburgh Marathon in May 2009 (Thankyou Jim). It was great day out and and from this the challenge of running the Glasgow Marathon was taken up.

Rather than just running it as challenge I wanted to add something more and decided to make it a sponsored event.

The Added Incentive

I chosed the Aberlour Child Care Trust as it is Scottish based so close to home. The opportunities you have as a child will often determine the rest of your life. Donating to improve those opportunities is a worthwhile cause and an investment for the future.
