Story
As all these thing start...
One evening in the pub.............
DAVID : "How about we do the Great North Run"
DAVID : Even better, "Lets cycle there first"
ME : "Thats a great idea"
And so "Race Against Tyne" was born
The following morning "What have I agreed to !!!!!!!"
This is what I agreed to.....
We are a group of 40 cyclists / runners and us and we are joining together to ride 325 miles over three days London to Newcastle, then on Sunday 8th September we are going to run (well try and run or other variations of run anyway) the biggest Half Marathon in the UK - The Simply Health Great North Run.
For both of us, cycling 100 miles in one day is a challenge yet to achieve, and neither of us have never been a runner's ( I never understood the appeal) so 325 miles over 3 days cycling followed by a half marathon is certainly a challenge but for such a great and worthy cause its worth it and one that we are both looking forward to.
The people that suffer with MS have greater challenges every day of their lives so for us to give up just 4 days to help in away way that we can is a small sacrifice.
