Edinburgh Marathon Festival Half 2019 · 26 May 2019 ·
I first got into running at the age of 9 when I thought I was going to miss my school bus, another time I chased my dog away from trying to eat a dead bird. I later got involved with football and became adept at running away from centre backs who were much bigger and scarier than me. Since then I've done my fair share of fun-runs, completing the Great North Run several times (and was narrowly beaten by Mo Farah on each occasion). So now I've signed up to do the Edinburgh Half Marathon with the intention of finally getting around to replacing my old running trainers. I'll also be raising money on behalf of The Quilter Foundation who are working to improve the lives and prospects of young carers throughout the North East.
