Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. You may or may not be aware that last year (13/09/11) I donated Bone Marrow to someone who was greatly in need of a bone marrow transplant. Fortunately enough I was a match for that person and had joined the register years prior to my donation year after the charity had done a day collecting blood samples at Drumlanrig School. The Charity helps people who are desperately in need of treatment with blood cancer ranging from newly born babies to adults. They currently need male donors aged between 18-30 years of age but will happily accept anyone who is willing to submit a spit sample for DNA testing. These samples cost around £100 to send out and analyse but this is just a small amount of the costs taken by the charity to save people’s lives. This is the reason I have decided to run The Great North Run this year for all members, Staff and patients of this great charity to allow them to keep up there great work and hopefully raise the survival rate of people requiring some form of treatment. Julie my partner will also be assisting me in competing in the run and also by baking and selling her products to anyone that she may come across at the time. I am know asking you to please however small please dip your hand into your pocket and donate for this amazing charity.
