Shield - Peak of Fitness Swimathon 2009 · 1 November 2009 ·

Shield supports people living throughout South Yorkshire infected or affected by HIV and Aids through support services, training and education.

Story

How did we get talked into this!!

Mike and Craig are going to swim 26 miles each between August and October. That's 52 miles altogether!

The swimathon is to raise money for Shield, the South Yorkshire HIV support charity. The funds will help to equip Shield's much needed facility 'The Orchard' from which a huge array of vital services will be offered.

We hope that you will be able to dig deep and sponsor us. Bear in mind this is TWENTY-SIX miles: a serious distance. So we need some serious sponsor money- of course every penny counts.

If you can pass-it-on and help us get sponsorship from other people you know- your kid's school, neighbours, friends, workmates, etc. We're going to be wet. We're going to be tired. We're going to ache. But most of all... WE'RE REALLY GOING FOR IT!
