Story

In September 2011, my son Ashley Wright was diagnosed with Cancer. The Cancer also caused paralysis. He had to have 10 months of intensive chemotherapy, and 6 weeks of radiotherapy. plus several operations. This was all successful and by August 2012 was in remission. He was also learning to walk again. In January 2013 he relapsed, this time was different. The cancer was much more aggressive and had spread rapidly. Sadly Ashley passed away peacfully on the 1st April 2013.

Throughout all of this the Snowdrop team have been supporting our family through which ever way they can, often without us even asking for help.

They are a unique charity providing 'Care at Home' for local children who have a life-threatening illness or who may be terminally ill.

Based in the Chichester area of West Sussex,

The Sussex Snowdrop Trust provides:

• Care at Home by Children's Community Nurses & Nurse Support Workers

• Emotional support which is met by Snowdrop Counsellors

• Financial help for families coping with the day-to-day     problems of caring for a very sick child.

They really are an amazing team, that make a huge difference. I honestly do not know how we would have coped without them.

Now i want to help them as much as i can, please help me by making a donation, so that we can help this amzing team support the families in the way that they do.

We did it!

I cant tell you how difficult this challenge was, though 54 miles in under 24Hrs was never going to be easy, especially with a few mountians in the way, Pen y Fan being one of them.

Gaz and I made it in 19Hrs, though there were times during the trek that i did wonder if i would make it round at all.  Gaz struggeled with his feet i struggeled with my knee but between us we new the importance of our challenge.

The thought of this page and the amount of money donated was a huge motivation for the both of us but it was worth every painful step. The money you have all donated is going to make such a difference to the lives of these children and their families. I am so very grateful for that.

Please dont forget that you are still able to make donations until the 09/09/2013, so if you feel like you would like to donate agian, no matter how small or you know of some one that might want to donate that has not yet done so then please press the donate button.

Again Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
