Story
Hey! My name is Adam, I am nineteen years old and for the past 5 years I've been solving all sorts of puzzles like Rubik's Cubes as a hobby. After 5 years tho, I've decided that it's time I take it somewhere and try and make a change.
Teenage self harm and suicidal is a big problem that not many dare to talk about. It's a taboo subject for some reasons, children are too afraid to speak about it to their parents, schools or peers, afraid of being wrongly judged, or even bullied.
I myself been through episodes of depression, self harm and attempted suicide. I know how it feels to feel alone and hopeless. Therefore I decided to try and make a change for teenagers around.
I like to compare life to a Rubik's Cube. It is mostly messed up and hard to understand, but just as the cube, every problem can be solved given the solution.
Ive decided to pass whatever I will raise to Centre33, a local charity based in Cambridge who help troubled teenagers with their problems.
I will attempt to solve Rubik's Cubes continuously for 10 hours straight for the great finale of the fundraise, with the date and location to be confirmed. I'm doing this to attract the attention of the public to the problem that self harm and teenage depression is becoming and hope that it will make some of us think about the issue.
Please donate even as little as a pound, and pass this page on, share it on Facebook or Twitter. Help to make the difference.
Remember, every problem can be solved.
