Story
I am helping raise money for Curo’s Charity of the Year. I will be walking 200 miles throughout August 2019!
After having my gallbladder removed earlier this year, I have been attempting to get fitter and healthier. I have chosen to challenge myself throughout August to walk 200 miles alongside raising money for our amazing Charity of the Year!
After a recent operation and changing careers from an Early Years Teacher to a Purchase ledger, I have found myself sitting far too much; my Fitbit hourly tells me to move! I have started to practice walking daily and have planned various walks with friends and family members including our annual walk up Glastonbury Tor which has been a tradition in our family for the past 5 Years.
Having known friends and family members stay in the Children’s ward in the RUH, the money raised can provide resources that will help to
make a real difference in the lives of the children in the wards care.
If anyone wishes to join in, you’re more than welcome to
join me on my daily morning walks, lunchtime canal walks and my evening walks :)
Or if you have any suggestions for new places to walk they will
be greatly received!
