ROO’S FUND

 

Roo's Fund, established in 1998, commemorates the life of a young lady who avidly shared her passion for life with others. Ruth (fondly known by loved ones as Roo) had a true zest for life and a caring, gentle spirit. Tragically, on the brink of many new horizons, Ruth’s life was ended in car collision at the tender age of 18.  

 

To honour her memory,  Ruth’s family decided that the money she had been saving for university should go towards helping homeless and marginalised young people.  

 

Roo’s Fund, managed by the Depaul UK , provides opportunities to people who are returning to education or career training. The fund assists them to improve their employment opportunities and personal development by providing them with everyday essentials (books, specialist equipment).
