The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Birth name: Sundance

Profile: This irrepressible little scamp is lively and carefree.  Dasher was destined to be a performer but not in this field – as his birth name suggests, Sundance was scouted for a owner-animal dancing competition.  His deftness and obedience impressed judges and catapulted him to glory in county-wide talent shows.  It was all the more wretched then when his less-than-nimble owner, Gertrude,  stepped on his paw during an up-tempo routine.  The sun came down on Dasher's dancing career soon afterwards and thus, he turned to racing to fill the void. Although his broken metatarsals have healed through extensive physiotherapy, he has not been able to train with any consistency.

Race chances:  Fair in a weak field.
