My Mom, Christine, lost her battle with Ovarian and Lung cancer 15 years ago this summer. I have decided to set myself the challenge of completing the Powis Castle Half Marathon on June 2nd in memory of my Mom and to raise money for for the charity 'Target Ovarian Cancer.'

Around 7000 woman are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year in the UK. 12 women die from the disease every day. If diagnosed at the earliest stages, up to 70% of woman could survive.

Target Ovarian Cancer focuses it's work on three main areas: Early diagnosis, Research into better treatments and Support for women.
