Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Hi,

If you're on my page then you probably know me, so you will also know that I have a wide and varying range of hobbies, Beer, Beer and, oh yes, more Beer, I do however visit my local pub to meet friends and drink BEER, I also visit my local Chinese to indulge in their excellent cuisine and BEER, I also enjoy an evening in at home with................Wine (Ha, got you there!)

So, it is a challenge of Herculean proportion that I am about to take on, for the duration of Lent (Yes, all six weeks!) I will be giving up Beer and wine, and in fact all alcohol and only allowing myself Kaliber or similiar (Low-Zero alcohol Beers) To start the fundraising I will be donating £250 and if I fail the challenge I will match the total amont raised out of my own pocket.

(Spiking of my drinks will not count!)

St Helena Hospice provides excellent care and support to make a great deal of difference to the quality of life of people with life limiting illness.

It is there to help with the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of these people and to provide support for their families including children, before and after bereavement.

These and many other services are provided free and to all who need them which is why I have chosen this charity and feel we should all continue to support their invaluable work.

Many thanks,

David.
