My story

Hi and thanks for visiting my 'Just Giving' page.

In April 2011 my mother sadly passed away from having cancer of the brain which was a huge shock to us all.  As if we didn't already know how important it is to have the support of groups like Macmillan our sad loss has made this even more apparent.

In memory of my mom, to create fundraising for Macmillan and also as a challenge and new experience for myself I will be taking part in a 550km bike ride over changing terrain across Kenya, Africa.  This takes place from 20th October with 8 days of cycling.  With a group of people we will be challenged all the way, we will have very little comforts such as a tent at the side of the road and occasionally a river to wash in (if we're lucky).  It will be a challenging but amazing experience and will enable me to raise funds for Macmillan which will help to support other families that have to deal with such sad times as we did and still do.

(In memory of my wonderful mom 'Sanchia Bradshaw' who sadly died on 6th April 2011)
