Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are looking to raise approximately £160,000 in order to redevelop a children's orphanage in Darjeeling.
The 100 children of the Kripasaran Children's Mission in Darjeeling currently live in appalling overcrowded conditions. The buildings are dangerously dilapidated, cold and damp. These children desperately need a new home.
Our mission at the Darjeeling Children's Trust is to support a major building project that will provide much improved accommodation for these children.
To date, we have already raised approximately £20,000 (1.4million rupees), which is to be used for architectural fees, legal costs and some basic building work.
Our goal now is to raise £50,000 by October 2012 for phase 1, followed by an additional £110,000 by October 2013 for phase 2 of the redevelopment building project.
The need is urgent and the need is significant. Your help will be greatly appreciated by the children in Darjeeling - it will transform their lives. So please donate.
