Everyman is an appeal run by The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). Every year some 10,000 men lose their lives to prostate cancer and over 2,000 others have their world turned upside down by a diagnosis of testicular cancer. These men are the reason we are fundraising for male specific cancers.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In September we will be undertaking a charity car rally through Europe. We are looking to raise money for a male cancer research charity called Everyman.

Everyman was launched with two aims, to break the taboos surrounding prostate and testicular cancer and raise awareness of them amongst men and women. We aim to raise funds so that the Everyman scientists can continually carry out vital research, improving the outlook for every man - and so cross out testicular and prostate cancer.

We feel that we needed to raise as much awareness about male cancers and the difficulty men have to find the courage to start the process so that they receive the best medical help possible.

Although the challenge will be fun all the money that we raise will go to the charity and the cost of the rally will come out of our own pockets including the car which has to be an old banger under £750.00 (hopefully it will get up and down the Alps twice and keep going for about two thousand miles, without conking out) petrol, insurance, food and such like. So don’t worry every penny goes to the Everyman campaign.
