Story
Your donation will make a 'huge' difference......It is 'never' too late!!
Cancer may break a heart...but never a spirit..Cancer is a disease of the body...but not a disease of the Soul...Cancer is a robber and a thief, but it can never steal our love for one another..Cancer can take our loved ones away from us, but it can never take our memories..
My Story
Our Father was diagnosed with terminal cancer (of the stomach), in March 2009. Unfortunately we were too late and it had already spread to some of his major organs. Giving him only 8 weeks to live in May 2009, he survived chemopherepy,a huge intake of drugs and still continues to battle on and even in pain he still manages to laugh and smile.
He's our Gorgeous Hero and there is no other just quite like him…and Daddy we all are so honoured to be called your Daughters we are extremely proud of you and will love you today, tomorrow and always.
Life for us hasn't been the same and living through all of this has put things into perspective.....We would like to say a huge thank you to our friends and extended family for all of their support and kind words of wisdom…it has been the simplest words, "how's your Dad" or how are you feeling" that have kept us sane.

Making a change with your help
Giving back, On the12th September 2010, PAULETTE GARRICKS, LYNN GARRICKS, MICHELLE GARRICKS AND MYSELF (DENISE GARRICKS), will be running 26.2 miles in the Experian Robin Hood Festival of Running (http://www.experianfestivalofrunning.co.uk/), for the Florence Nightingale Hospice which provides first class palliative care services which is accessible to the people throughout Aylesbury Buckinghamshire and the surrounding villages.
This will be a huge challenge for us all but by doing this it will allow us to help others and in hope, help save or extend a life of another as it is never too late!
We are hoping you will give us your support on the day & by donating as much cash as possible.
... and we "G-FORCE"... will be crossing that finishing line because the memories of the last 13 months will see us through. This is a huge opportunity for us and we are NOT going to miss it and for every step we take we will be making a positive difference.

Re: In memory of Kenneth George Garricks
Dear Lindsey – Head of Fundraising
Further to our conversation this letter is to summarise the agreed.
We the Garricks Family would like to set up a trust in our late father’s name, Kenneth George Garricks.
I ask at this time all funds from our just giving pages, various events – ongoing, including gift aids to be held until our agreed target of £60k is reached. After which, formal meetings can then take place to discuss the most appropriate ways our fathers legacy can benefit others.
We look forward to a working partnership with the Florence Nightingale Charity, in order to make a difference in other peoples lives, which our father always strived to do.
Should you require any further information, please contact me on the address shown above.
Kindest regards
Denise Garricks
