Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you know I am a keen runner although over the last couple of years this has taken somewht of a back seat . I am however dusting off my trainers to join 500 other love runners to do the Bristol 10km. The aim is to raise as much money as possible for the poor, the oppressed and the needy(please see the love running website for more details). The one closest to my heart at the moment is CLIC Sargent which as many of you will know have been supporting us through Ella's treatment. Ella requires weekly blood tests as part of her treatment and for the last year the CLIC nurses have come to our house to do this. I cannot begin to tell you how fantastic it has been for us as it means one less hospital trip which is always a bonus. They are also a great contact point for us and can often get the information we need quicker then if we were to try and get it ourselves. More recently they have been in each meeting with the consultants to act as support but also to help us remember everything that has been said.

Ella has not been having a very easy time of late but we are hoping that she is turning a corner. With each step I take on the 10km route, no matter how long it feels or how uncomfortable I get, it will be nothing compared to what Ella has faced. I hope that by raising money for CLIC and also for the other great charities we will be making someones life somewhere a little easier.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
