Every day police officers are suffering injuries and illnesses that have an impact on their work to protect local communities. The Police Treatment Centres is a registered charity which provides vital treatment and support to help these officers return to better health and get back to work sooner.

Story

Thanks for visiting. This November I'm growing a moustache, not for Movember but for the Police Treatment Centres. It is afterall now the only time of the year when you can wear ridiculous facial hair and when people assume its for charity.

The Police Treatment Centres are a charity created, owned and funded by police officers in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North of England.

The charity owns two Treatment Centres where serving and retired police officers can receive rest, recuperation and treatment following an illness or injury. This helps us get back to work quicker through specialised treatments, ultimately saving forces and the public purse money. Let me re-emphasise, the charity is funded by the individual cops not by Government.

The Centres are in Harrogate and Auchterarder.

Almost 4000 serving and retired officers attend the Treatment Centres each year and most receive intensive physiotherapy. Others seek support with stress-related conditions and some attend for reasons of respite or to recuperate following an illness or operation.

The Auchterarder centre is currently embarking on an extension and modernisation project to improve the capability and capacity of this vital resource.

Please do donate to this worthy cause and watch my "Mexican-porn-star esque mouser grow through November!
