Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After witnessing, and donating to, others' charitable efforts I have decided that although my physical fitness will not accomodate a marathon just yet, I am set on completing a solo kayaking of the Caledonian Canal. The 60mile trip will be achieved in 2.5days on the water beginning Wed 12th September 2012, from Fort William.

I fall in the "novice" category of Kayaking, having not paddled a stroke since 2001 (a ropey holiday effort at best).

My charity of choice is Farleigh Hospice. They provided quality care for my father at different stages of his fight against cancer, and are a superb charity funded service that needs to be supported as much as possible.

I'll be covering the basic costs of the challenge (accomodation, equipment etc.) so as much of your donation as possible goes straight to Farleigh Hospice.
