Story

Two years ago the committee launched their yearly fundraising event with the Morris Meander – a walk carried out by two teams, setting off from Kelmscott Manor in Gloucestershire and Kelmscott House in London respectively. The teams walked nearly 70 miles each, following the route of William Morris along the Thames path, meeting in the middle after three days and a total of 132 miles.

This year, the committee are proposing to raise the stakes and the cash by rowing the full 132 miles between Kelmscott Manor and Kelmscott House in a traditional Thames ‘skiff’. The Great Thames Row will take the amateur rowers seven days, starting at Kelmscott Manor on Tuesday 24th May and finishing at Kelmscott House, London, on Bank Holiday Monday 30th May.

So please dig deep, hope that it doesn't rain and sponsor us.

Many thanks
