Story

Please help me to raise money for the Leuka and the Catherine Lewis Centre at Hammersmith Hospital as I take part in my second Firefly Ride. I obviously love it or I wouldn't do it, but it is hard.
Just to make it fun I aim to do one of the main climbs, maybe Galibier, on my folding bike, so that will be interesting!

Without getting mushy, riding a bike in the mountains makes you feel more alive than pretty much anything. When you have friends or family with leukaemia or other forms of cancer, that connection with life is all the more poignant.

Its thought that understanding and possibly curing leukaemia may open up cures and treatments for most other cancers. Thats why its so important, and why I'm so passionate about it.

This is a special year for the fireflies - the 10th annual Tour of the Fireflies - a gruelling, and exhilerating 1000+ km ride over the French Alps from Geneva to Cannes.

In the 10 years to date over 135 riders have completed the Tour, many several times, riding nearly 200,000 miles in total.
This year we hope to reach £1 million in total money raised.

Whatever you can give does help, so many thanks.
