Here in the UK I am raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, and more specifically for a Tribute Fund set up in honour of my Granda - Robin Wilson. MND is a horrible disease that affects your motor neurones, the cells that control muscle activity such as speaking, walking, breathing, swallowing and general movement of the body. The MND Association helped my Granda with his battle with this disease that ultimately took his life on November 17th 2008, almost exactly a year after his diagnosis.

As many of you know, my Granda was a very active person and he managed to remain active as much as possible while fighting MND; it is this determination that has inspired me to complete the triathlon in his honour.

So please try and support me if you can, any amount you can donate will be very much appreciated. The MND Association can use this money to fund research into battling this disease, providing services for those fighting the disease and much needed support for their families.
