From June 2-8, I will be traveling to the Hatay province in Turkey, to deliver food aid packs to externally displaced Syrian refugees in the Turkish/Syrian border town of Reyhanli & surrounding areas. The Syrian refugee crisis stands to be perhaps the most devastating humanitarian disaster in modern history; at present, more than 1.7 million Syrian refugees have fled to Turkey for safety, and are now struggling to survive.
To do our part in offering the Syrian people needed assistance, I highly encourage you to lend your financial support to SKT Welfare, the charitable organization spearheading this initiative. I personally vouch for SKT, a highly respected charity with deep roots and experience in Syria proper, that has a 100% donation policy; every dime donated will go directly to relief efforts. A donation of less than $50 will purchase a food parcel that will feed a family of five, which I will then purchase and deliver on the ground in person. To learn more about the amazing relief work SKT does in Syria, click on the charity's main page (which my page directs to), or visit http://www.sktwelfare.org/.
We are timing this initiative specifically to coincide with the month of Ramadan. In the holy month of sacrifice, the people of Syria need our help more than ever. Please, donate generously.
