Royal Parks Half Marathon 2009 · 11 October 2009 ·

We believe that no one should be excluded from the life-changing benefits of community sport. We support community sports clubs, organisations, coaches and volunteers to provide inclusive inclusive sports offers, helping change the lives of underserved young people in their local community.

Story

Hello all my loveliest of friends!

The Ask!

Over the course of the year, I’m sure that at least some of you will have had emails like this one from friends and family doing all sorts of fabulous things for Charities and asking you to dig deep for a very good cause. So, if you have a little bit left in your back pocket and if you can afford to be even just a little bit generous then it will, of course, be hugely appreciated and more importantly, go straight into the Charity’s pocket.

The Mission/ Cause!

I’m on a personal mission, as well as a charitable one, to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October and in doing so will be raising money for a Charity called Access Sport. In brief, they are there to ‘increase sports participation opportunities for young people in sports clubs, thereby contributing to improved levels of fitness and well-being in the UK’ and generally try and improve things for young generations across all walks of life. Have a look at their website www.accesssport.co.uk and you will see what incredible things they have already achieved and are looking to achieve in the future.

The ½ Marathon is on Sunday 11th October and whether you are able to sponsor me or not, if you’re in the are then come down and cheer me on – I will most certainly need the encouragement!

Thanks all very much!

lots of love

Daisy
